Bid Contract

Explanation

Use this activity to bid on a contract. This feature is used for internal information only and helps you to keep track of the contracts that have the potential to be won.

Prerequisites

• A Contract in the Enquiry or Estimated status should exist.

System Effects

• The contract is listed as decided to bid on the bid status.

Procedure

1. Open the Sales Contract window and query for the contract you wish to bid.
2. Right click and select Bid, from the Bid Status menu option. The Bid Status field in the General tab will be updated as Decided to bid.
3. You can enter a value as the probability to win the contract in the Win Probability field.
4. Once the contract has been awarded, the probability will automatically be 100%.
