Supply Detailed Maintenance Event Information
Explanation
This activity is used to supply detailed information
for a maintenance event before the event can be completed.
The event related information can be entered on the maintenance order, if for
instance you are a maintenance planner who is responsible for handling the
maintenance order and events that belong to it. It can also be entered using the
Supply Information for Maintenance Event window. This
window is useful when you need to update the event information while reporting in
on the work that was done; for instance a technician who needs to update the
function breakdown while reporting in on the fault.
Prerequisites
To perform this activity, a maintenance event must exist. This event cannot be in the Finished status.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, detailed event information
will be supplied and the event can be completed when reaching the Work Done
status.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to enter event information by using the
Maintenance Order/Maint.
Order Str./Supply Event Info tab:
- Open the Maintenance Order window
and query (F3) for the necessary maintenance order.
- Click the Maint. Order Str. tab. In
the graphical object structure, select the required event row, and then click
the Supply Event Info sub tab.
- Click the Fault tab if you want to enter fault-specific information on
the event.
- You can enter or change the value in the Fault
Code and/or Cause Code fields. Use the List of values to select
valid values.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the Modification tab, to enter information on modification
events. You
can enter or change the next execution type and/or update information on the
rename of a serial.
- In the Next Exec. Step field, select the
new execution type. Valid values are: Initial Inspections,
Continued Inspections and Terminating Action.
- Select the Terminate Inspections check box
if you want to terminate the inspections of a modification.
- In the Exec. Remark field, enter any
information on the modification execution.
- In the Rename Serials area you can enter or
change rename-specific information on the serial.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the Oper Param tab to enter
operational parameter values on an event when finishing the event.
- Right click on the table of the window, and then
click Suggest Operational Values. The Maintenance Date for
Default Values dialog box opens.
- Enter a value in the Maintenance Date
field.
- Click OK.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the Material List tab to enter information on the material used on the
event processed as a simplified work order. Note that this tab is
only made available for events with distribution type Simplified Work
Order.
- Create a new record (F5) in the table of the
window.
- In the Part Number field, enter the part
number of the consumed material. Use the List of Values to select a valid
value.
- In the Quantity field, enter the quantity
of material consumed.
- Save the information (F12).
Use the following procedure to enter event information by using the
Supply Information for Maintenance Event window:
- Open the Supply Information for Maintenance
Event
window and query (F3) for the necessary event number.
- Click the Event Details tab to view or
update information on the event. If needed, use the List of Values to connect
a post maintenance check to the event. You can also enter details of the work
done in the Work Carried Out field.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the Fault tab if you want to enter fault-specific information on
the event.
- You can enter or update the function breakdown for the fault.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click the Modification tab, to enter information on modification
events. You
can enter or change the next execution type and/or update information on the
rename of a serial.
- In the Next Exec. Step field, select the
new execution type. Valid values are: Initial Inspections,
Continued Inspections and Terminating Action.
