Release to Service
Explanation
This activity is used to perform sign off of a
maintenance order having sign off requirements. The following rules apply when
signing off a maintenance order:
- If sign off requirements with both the Release
to Service and Counter Release to Service requirement types are
defined on the maintenance order, two different persons are required to sign
off the maintenance order.
- If a certificate has been defined for the release to
service sign off requirements on the maintenance order, the person signing
off the maintenance order must have the necessary qualifications to perform the sign off.
Note: If a certificate is not used for the release to service
sign off requirements when signing off, the identity of the person
performing the sign off is retained but validations will not be performed.
- When signing off a maintenance order where more than one
signature requirement has been defined for the same requirement type, only
one signature can be specified and the person signing off must have all
certificates required.
