Demand Order

Usage

Use this window to view scheduling information about shop orders related to this demand order. A demand order is a collection of shop orders that need to be completed to fulfill a specific customer demand.

This window contains three tabs. The Show Status tab indicates whether any of the shop orders are incomplete, unscheduled, assigned, scheduled, released, partially reported, reported, and/or tardy. The Show Contents tab contains detailed information about this object. The Show Relations tab contains a list of shop orders that are related to this object. For the description of each tab in the window, follow the appropriate link: Show Status, Show Contents, Show Relations, Show Project , Show Project Information.

Fields

This window contains:

Demand Order: The Demand Order object for the defined demand order. Hold down the Shift key and drag this object into the Gantt Chart list box. The Gantt chart now shows when the shop orders related to this Demand Order object are scheduled.

Show Status

Status: The combined statuses of all of the shop orders for this Demand Order object. The colors represent the possible statuses, either Incomplete, Unscheduled, Assigned, Scheduled, Released, Partially Reported, Reported, and/or Tardy. A button to the left of a status indicates that one or more shop orders for this object are currently that status. Double-click on the button to view the list of shop orders for each status.

Start Date: The first date and time that shop orders related to this demand order are scheduled to start.

Finish Date: The last date and time that shop orders related to this demand order are scheduled to finish.

Show Contents

Customer: The customer for whom this demand order was generated.

Customer Desc: Additional information about the customer.

Order No: The customer order number.

Rel No: The release number for the customer order.

Line No: The line number of the release number.

Line Item: The line item of the line number.

Part No: The identifier of the part to be manufactured.

Part Desc: The name or description corresponding to the part number.

Product Family: Specifies to which product family the part belongs. Product family codes are used in IFS manufacturing to group parts in product structures.

Product Family Desc: The description corresponding to the product family.

Quantity Due:  The quantity required to complete this order.

Demand Type: The type of demand order, which can be either Dynamic Order Processing, Sales Quotation, or Customer Order.

EPST: The earliest possible start date and time for this demand order based on the earliest possible start time for the related shop orders. This is the time before which it is not possible to start this demand order.

LPST: The latest possible date and time that this demand order can be started and still be completed by the demand order's need date.  This is based on the latest possible start time for the related shop orders.

Show Relations

Shop Order Allocations: A list of all currently related shop orders that are required to complete this demand order. You can drag and drop additional shop orders into this list. Alternatively, you can click the right mouse button on a shop order and choose Remove to remove it from the list.

Show Project Information

Program ID: The project to which the shop order is connected.

Project ID: The project to which the shop order is connected.

Project Name: The name of the project.

Sub Project ID: The subproject to which the shop order is connected. This subproject belongs to the project displayed in the Project ID field.

Sub Project Description: The sub project description.

Activity ID: The activity to which the shop order is connected. This activity belongs to the project and subproject displayed in the Project ID and Sub Project Id fields respectively.

Activity Description: The activity description.
