Enter Allocation Key

Explanation

This activity is used to enter new allocation keys or to modify existing ones. Allocation keys are used to distribute, as percentages, the annual values to the accounting periods.

Prerequisites

Before entering an allocation key, the following must have been completed:

• A budget version must exist in the company.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an allocation key exists in the company. The key can be used in Budget Year Amount when budget values are allocated to periods.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter an allocation key:

1. Open Budget Allocation Keys and use the New function.
2. The window is divided into two parts. General information on the allocation key is given in the first part, and the period and allocation percentage per period are given in the second part. The total of the allocation percentage entered must be 100% before the allocation key can be saved.
3. Save the information.
