Enter Audit Type Data

Explanation

This activity is used to define or edit audit types. These are used to define different types of audits and are used to group together a set of audits for viewing or analysis. Examples of possible audit types are supplier audits, customer audits, certification audits, etc.

As a result of this activity, new audit types are defined or existing ones are modified.

• If the audit focus type is defined as supplier, then the effect is that it is possible to identify a specific supplier during set up of the audit.
• If the audit focus type is defined as customer, then the effect is that it is possible to identify a specific customer during set up of the audit.

Procedure

1. Open the Audit Basic Data window.
2. Click the Audit Type tab.
3. Create a new record.
4. Enter a value in the Audit Type ID field. If the field is left empty, a value will be assigned automatically.
5. Enter a description for the audit type in the Description field. Entering a value in this field is required.
6. Select a value in the Focus Type field.
7. Select a value in the Open NCR Allowed field.
8. Optionally, select the Show in Chart check box.
9. Optionally, enter a note regarding the audit type in the Notes field.
10. Save the record.

Note: You can translate the description into different languages using the basic data translation functionality. Select a record, right-click and then click Translation. In the Basic Data Translation window, enter descriptions per language.
