Create From and To Relations
Explanation
This activity is used to create From and To Relations at either end of a
linear design object such as a cable or a pipe. For example, for a pipe, the
From relation could be a pump and the To relation could be a tank. When these
connections are defined for linear objects, they create alternate ways to
navigate the plant structure and find equipment and information. These From/To
relations serve as additional plant documentation by creating a navigable
mini-system (e.g., pump-pipe-tank).
Prerequisites
- The class of the linear object for which from and to relations are being defined,
should have classes defined for the Can have arriving at and Can have
leaving from Class Relations.
System Effects
From and To Relations are established.
