Connect Gasket Part to Design Object Nozzle
Explanation
This activity is used to connect a gasket part to a design object nozzle.
This information will help create Nozzle BOM diagrams. Gaskets are created as
design parts and their data is later inherited by the connected equipment
object nozzles.
The Gasket and Gasket Part fields for a mechanical nozzle have
different uses. The Gasket field is used for entering gasket requirements
(e. g., Graphite, SPW (spiral wound), Teflon) for a mechanical nozzle. The
Gasket Part field is used for connecting the suitable part to the mechanical
nozzle by entering the gasket's design part ID.
Prerequisites
- A gasket part, which is essentially a design part of the Gasket design
part class, should be created.
- The class of the design object nozzle should have its Can have
Mechanical Nozzles Class Property set to True.
- The class of the gasket part should have its Can be Nozzle Part
Class Property set to True.
System Effects
The design object nozzle will have a connected gasket part.
