A default plant is a plant that will be defined automatically when creating new design object or system variables. To define a default plant, the required plant should be created first and the users who will be allowed to work with this plant and who will be able to set this plant as a default plant need to be defined on the plant. Users who are not defined for a particular plant will not be able to set the plant as the Default Plant, and as a result, will not be able to access information for the chosen plant either. When a new plant has been created all users are granted access by default for setting it as the Default Plant, unless this setting has been explicitly modified. If a default plant has been defined, the standard for the default plant will be defined automatically when creating new classes, design parts and navigational models, among others.
