Define Automatic Absence Limit Generation

Explanation

This activity is used to define how absence limits can be allocated to an employee based on the seniority of the employee and the employment type to which the employee belongs.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity seniority setups are required to be already defined in the Seniority Setup window.

Procedure

  1. Open the Absence Configuration window.
  2. Select the relevant absence group in the tree navigator. The Group Definition tab will be enabled in the right pane of the window. The absence types which should be used to allocate limits to employees will be listed in this tab.
  3. Select the required absence type, right-click and click Absence Limit Definition Details to open the Absence Type Limit Definition window.
  4. Create a new record.
  5. Enter an employment type by selecting a value from the list in the Employment Type field.
  6. Enter the ID of the seniority setup which should be linked to the absence type in the Seniority ID field.
  7. Save the information.
  8. Select the record, right-click and click Details to open the Absence Type Limit Definition Details window.
  9. Go to the Limit Threshold tab and create a new record.
  10. Enter the number of seniority years required to qualify an employee for absence limit allocation. Specify the number of days that should be allocated as the absence limit in the Threshold Value field.
  11. If required, repeat step 10.
  12. Save the information.
