Create File Template from File Type

Usage

Use this dialog box to create an external file template from an external file type definition. The following items will be created:

• A new file template header.
  The template will be defined so that it handles column-separated files, and the default separator will be used. The default separator is defined in the System Parameters for Accounting Rules window in IFS/Accounting Rules..
• File template details. The details are created using column definitions for the referenced file type.

Note: In order to use the created file template, you must add input and/or output file definitions and the  template must be validated and put into Active status.

This dialog box is launched when you right-click in the External File Templates window in IFS/Accounting Rules.
